St. Maarten prepares for Ministerial conference with Dutch Minister

PHILIPSBURG - "The economic situation in Germany and the European Union" will be the theme of a lecture on Thursday February 9th of the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Dr. Heinz-Peter Behr.

The announcement was made by the Prime Minister of St.Maarten, Hon. Sarah W Williams.

In addressing that subject at the weekly Council of Ministers press briefing on Wednesday morning, the Prime Minister also provided some information on the expected visit of the Minister of Home Affairs and Kingdom relations in Holland, Liesbeth Spies.

He is expected to be on the island on February 13th 2012 and whilst here, it is expected that a Ministerial consultation will be held.
