PHILIPSBURG - Former Prosecutor Core Merx was granted admission to the bar on Thursday after a hearing by a panel of three Judges.

The Attorney General pitched a number of reasons at the panel of Judges why he believed that Merx should not be allowed on the Bar.

Among the reasons were funds that were unaccounted for which it is claimed that Merx used on his house.

In his defense Merx noted that he did not even know that he was a suspect in the investigation and maintaining that he did nothing wrong.

After deliberations the panel of Judges found that there was no reason to prevent Merx from taking a position on the Bar. With this ruling Merx will be allowed to practice law on the Island.

What a bout the other prosecutor who had/or still has a

How is it possible!!!!! If Cor Merx could be admitted to Bar, why can't Gilbert
de Windt admitted too???????? Don't understand me wrong I'm not agree with the
decesion but if Merx could why not de Windt too.Where is justice on this
island?????? Maybe because Merx is a dutchman????????????? Don't forget God
wears piyama but he doesn't sleep!!!!

Former Lt. Governor Ralph Richardson that was locked up while he was in office,
not only got admitted back to the bar, but is now one of the main players in the
constitutional process, member of the GEBE board etc. He is doing a good
job.
People deserve a second chance. Even the prince of Holland that was
involved in the Lockheed affair only lost a medal, and things went back on
track.

Curacolanean, this is not Curacao or Holland. You all just leave him alone. The
man deserved a second chance. He loves the island and will do a lot for us and
maybe you too. He is the only dutch in OM that hangs with the locals as if he
one of us. The others think they better than us. I wish he could get back
prosecutor.

Cor Merx for the "little" people in SXM? Pahleezzee.....this guy is a
down right crook and is preying on the 'little' guy. He's about as crooked as
they come....trust me...the truth will come out. Notice Johnny Erato the other
crook on the island shaking his hand in the picture...they are all a pack
