PAR calls parliamentary meeting to deal with PS Party Kingdom disruptions

PHILIPSBURG, Willemstad - Former Prime Minister of the then Netherlands Antilles, Member of Parliament of the PAR party on Curacao, Emilie de Jongh Elhage is of the opinion that president of the parliament on that island, Ivar Asjes of the PS party, as well as the party's leader Helmin Wiels, want to have war within the Kingdom.

MP Elhage stated that for a year now, the party has been embarking on a mission not to respect the wishes of the people, who voted to remain within the Kingdom.

"They are doing all in their power to disrupt the Kingdom" MP Elhage stated on Thursday.

The former Prime Minister also made reference to the recent court ruling on Curacao requesting that the president of parliament pay back some eighty nine thousand guilders to the waste management company on the island. Monies that according to the court, he illegal received.

It is against this backdrop that the opposition is calling for a parliamentary meeting to deal with the current situation involving, particularly the PS Party.
