Gas price to go up this week

PHILIPSBURG - The Economic Affairs Department announced on Tuesday that due to international affairs the price of gas will be increased again on St. Maarten.

According to the Department the price increase will take effect on Thursday February 23rd 2012.

Unleaded Gasoline (ULG) which currently sells for 239.00 Antillean cents per liter will be sold for 247.00 Antillean cents per liter as of Thursday.

Gas-oil which is now sold for 220.00 Antillean cents per liter will be sold for 222.00 Antillean cents per liter.

The petroleum distributors are running out of fuel and the fuel prices surge. we are going from bad to worse.
