PHILIPSBURG - What provisions are made for capital investments, stated Member of Parliament of the National Alliance Louie Laveist when questioned on the issue of the 2012 budget which is due to be discussed in a Central Committee meeting on Wednesday.

In an interview the MP state that the bridge to nowhere, referring to the causeway project, will not solve the traffic congestion issue in Simpson, it makes no sense and will damage the environment Laveist noted.

The Member of Parliament also stated that the present government doesn't care about what environmentalists say, the people say or what the advisors have to say.

MP Laveist suggested that they take the Moneys earmarked for the bridge project and use it to maintain and upgrade the infrastructure that already exists.
