PHILIPSBURG - The current account of the Central Bank of Curacao and St.Maarten is in deficit, as a result of excessive credit extension, remarked the president of the Central Bank of the two countries, Drs Emsley Tromp.

In order to reverse the current situation, the Central Bank is perusing a restrictive monitory policy.

So what are those restrictive monitory policies?

That issue was addressed by Drs Emsley Tromp at the Annual Membership Meeting of the SHTA last week, of which he was the keynote speaker. His comments can now be heard via PodCast.
