When it comes time for decision-making, he/she hesitates to commit. This is especially true on immigration issues.

He/she tends to agree with whichever partner or member is the last one in his/her office at the time. When someone has offended this person, he/she does not confront the individual directly, but instead, builds support for their own position by talking badly about this individual behind their back. He/she has a tendency to "cry" on other people's shoulders(Senator Laville) about how overwhelmed and overloaded they are with work and responsibilities. It is very difficult for him/her to give the "hard" messages or give constructive feedback to others. When he/she does have to give a negative message to someone, it's always someone else, usually a superior, who has coerced them to do so. They make it a point to let the individual know that it's not their idea. But at present especially when it comes to the immigration issue StMaarten leaders on both sides has never taking a stand to really defend and expound on native StMaarten/ StMartin people comes first. In reality that institute weak leadership because of cowardice or political correctness to gain votes. The leaders in StMaarten is like careless parents who send their daughters out in a dangerous neighborhood and see and hear them getting rape, and they continue to turn the blind eye instead of defending their daughters. As I said from before, a true and strong and wise leader will sacrifice him or herself for country and not let the people be sacrifice for him or herself. Lots of StMaarten leaders are not Patriotic and do not love country, this is proven with the lack of will to teach love of country in school and Patriotism. They never are proud to defend native StMaarten values while outside forces bash the native StMaarten people. This behavior has made the native StMaarten people very weak and afraid to defend their self and just sit back and suffer inside. That is a terrible way to live.
What is the purpose of leaders and political parties if their first interest is to support or provide for immigrants instead of the native StMaarten people of heritage. They might as well go run for politics in another country. You will never see no political leader on Dutch or French StMaarten/StMartin say that, because they do not have a strong character and love for the native people of StMaarten as we have. The Lord said it best "Why do you say you love me and not do my will". The conclusion is political parties that cannot defend the native people of StMaarten interest is no use to us. The solution to the problem is we must solve the problem ourselves that is why we must unite. The failure of our native StMaarten people coming together will be at our own destruction, as a block and unity together we can get political leverage and have a voice to accomplish our mission.
