There yearly pro active participation in a certain number of credit hours of educational workshops and seminars should be a requirement to maintain teacher credentials. Certain guidelines should be in place as to what topics and or subjects, would be relevant to the schools curiculum.
The focus of any course the teacher choose to partake in, should provide an outcome for their overall improvement of skill set in that subject matter.
If a course of action is being taken, such as an Appraisal of each teachers performance in the classroom. The assessment of teaching skills should be large percentage of the initial criteria used to certify that teacher can actually teach within the conditions being exposed to on SXM.
The ongoing assessment of qualified teacher should be based on their teacher performance skills including,years in the career,documented research article or research projects in which some credit or merit has been achieved.
Record of their professional mentoring relationship with other teachers. Supervisory or chairperson status within the subject department. Continueous yearly participation in educational workshops and seminars.
Performance and duty as workshop and seminar instructors.
Not withstanding the outcome performance of the students that they teach yearly.. as well as the student perfomance in each course that they teach. Grade the outcome performance of student results on external exams and internal school exams.
